Senseless ramblings...or are they?

I am so, so sorry I've been away so long!  It will never happen again, I promise!

Over the past few weeks there have been ideas just swarming through my head, and now I'm very happy to share them with you.  These may not make any sense, and some of them could just be terrible, so please, feel free to voice your opinion on what you would actually like to see come to life.

First is one I've been already working on and is posted on the blog, the fabric flowers. Last weekend when I was at my city's anime convention, an artist in Artist Alley was selling the traditional japanese form of these called Kansashi.  Learning how to make these has become my new quest (please forgive any medieval terminology, I'm watching the starz orginal series Camelot, and I saw Your Highness yesterday).  To the right are some examples of these.  Aren't they pretty?  And what's great about these is you can make them into just about anything!  Like hair clips, or pins, or broaches.  It's gonna take a lot of patience, and from what I've seen a lot of practice.

Next project!  We decided to do a line called "Cute as a button" and I was thinking of making simple little hemp bracelets, so why not combine the ideas!  What about this, since most hemp bracelets have a knot and a loop to hold it on, well instead of a knot, make it a button!  Wouldn't that be cute?  Just something simple, but can make a statement.

The other day I was driving Holly home and I had thought about small draw string change purses.  They're simple, and when done write, can be super cute!  I made a drawstring purse to go with a costume one time and beaded the front with pearls, so why not do that, just miniature.  And they don't have to be just beaded, there could be some embroidery on it, or just a really neat pattern.

And that brings us to idea number four!  I've been playing around with this thought for a while, but just could never figure out how I wanted to construct them.  The idea is to sculpt a little dragon key chain but I just don't know how I want it to look.  I was thinking of maybe climbing up the chain?  What do you think?  Any ideas?

Lastly, I had a random idea about doing little sculpted rings that are actually dragons or lizards wrapped around your finger.  I know it sounds kinda lame, or maybe a little medieval, but hey, maybe it could sell.

That's all I have for the night.  I'm gonna get some sleep since I have to be at work tomorrow morning.

Always
Amanda <3
